Steinhauer Twirls Industrials to Shutout Win

Gene Steinhauer had an impressive outing at Allegheny Field, hurling the Pittsburgh Industrials to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Philadelphia Quakers.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Philadelphia skipper Jeff Green said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Steinhauer yielded 4 hits and tallied 4 strikeouts with 3 walks.
Currently Steinhauer has a 9-10 won-lost record in 27 starts with a 3.34 ERA. He also has 101 strikeouts in 183 innings.
