Frampton Goes Distance in New York Win
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the New York Empires and Atlanta Generals.

The New York Empires picked up a win at Atlantic Station Field, knocking off the Atlanta Generals, 4-1. Starting pitcher Nate Frampton played a key role in the triumph. The Empires, at 84-64, sit in second place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.

Frampton was in the zone, shutting down Atlanta hitters over 9 innings. Frampton, who threw 108 pitches, allowed 1 run on 4 hits. He also tallied 3 punchouts.

"Nate gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said New York skipper Dan Whiting.
