Bluebirds Top Knickerbockers, 3-0, Behind Teckenbrock
|
The Brooklyn Bluebirds went home winners at Knickerbocker Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Dave Teckenbrock. Teckenbrock stifled the New York Knickerbockers, enabling Brooklyn to grab the 3-0 win. The loss makes New York 85-66.
New York could barely put a dent in Teckenbrock. The right-hander tossed 114 pitches over 8 innings for the Bluebirds, allowing only 4 hits.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Teckenbrock. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
