Late Rally by Drillers Locks Up 2-1 Win
Baltimore wasted a solid 7.2-inning effort from starting pitcher John Fredrick, losing to Houston, 2-1, at Seton Hill Stadium. The victory gives Houston a record of 82-70.

Houston used the timely hitting of Mike Lockhart to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Drillers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Tough loss," said Baltimore manager Steve Read. "But that's how the cookie crumbles."
