Burros Get Past Kansas City for 2-1 Win
Denver Burros starter Keith Williams found his groove in his team's 2-1 win over the Kansas City Bulls. Frank Combs picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 12-7. Greg Stalling suffered the loss. With the win, Denver pushed its record to 78-75.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Johnny Kolakowski? The 20-year old right fielder Kolakowski stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Denver up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Denver skipper Clark Anderson.
