Packers Earn 6-1 Home Win
The Cincinnati Packers knocked off the Milwaukee Dairymen, 6-1, in National Baseball League action at Roman Arena. Cincinnati pitcher and Newton, Alabama, native Kenny Foster had an outstanding performance. Cincinnati reliever Kenny Foster got the win, raising his record to 3-5. Tom Rockliffe was tagged with the loss. Cincinnati now sits at 66-86, while Milwaukee falls to 68-84.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Brian Alfieri didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Milwaukee trailing 3-1, Alfieri retired Cliff Bragg to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Alfieri, with a wink.
