Woods Schools Twin Cities in 4-1 Chicago Triumph
|
Ron Woods imposed his will on the Northmen from the get-go. Relying mainly on his splitter, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Chicago triumph. Angel Villatoro earned the save for Chicago, his 4th of the year. The Northmen fall to 6-10.
Woods was effective against the Northmen, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Twin Cities to just 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"Ron just settled in and did what he does," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.
