Los Angeles got a strong outing from Ken Morrison as the Blockbusters defeated the Milwaukee Dairymen, 5-2, at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Getting the save was Cardell Franklin, his 15th. Los Angeles is now 71-86, Milwaukee 54-103.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bobby Capps? The 30-year old right fielder Capps stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Los Angeles up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
