Barnett Goes Deep Twice in 7-4 Bluebirds Win
|
J.T. Barnett was a vital contributor to the 7-4 Brooklyn victory over Cleveland. The Bluebirds catcher hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. With the victory, the Bluebirds upped their record to 79-78.
It could have been a different outcome for Brooklyn, had it not been for Dave Tislow, the 26-year old second baseman . Tislow contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Brooklyn up, 4-2.
"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Tislow. "It eases the tension."
