Bulls Drop Dairymen, 7-4
|
The Kansas City Bulls picked up a win at Independence Field, taking down the Milwaukee Dairymen, 7-4. Starting pitcher Charlie Hickman was a big reason why. Hickman went the distance for Kansas City. He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits. The win gives Kansas City a season record of 85-73.
Kansas City left fielder Neil Fisher contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 82nd hit of the season and put the Bulls ahead, 5-4.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Hickman. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
