|
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Jerry Sullivan, the Montreal Habitants lost to the Boston Terriers, 5-3. Sullivan went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. The win went to John Morgan in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Al Johns took the loss. Boston now sits at 67-90, while Montreal falls to 81-76.
Mike Cash drove in 2 runs for Boston. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Al Johns. It was his 42nd RBI of the season.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Cash.
