Pobladores Collect 3-2 Win Over Seagulls
San Vicente Park did not lack for drama.

The Los Angeles Pobladores wiggled past the San Francisco Seagulls, 3-2, at San Vicente Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Phil Lester. Los Angeles is now 75-83, San Francisco 97-61.

The decisive blow was delivered by Chuck Gunter in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off former first round draft pick Dave Maughan to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Gunter said.
