Generals Shut Out Habitants, 8-0
|
Atlanta Generals starter Chris Williams had all his pitches working at LaSalle Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-0 Atlanta win over the Montreal Habitants. After today's action, Atlanta sits at 69-90; Montreal slips to 81-78.
David Obert, the 26-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Obert contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Atlanta up, 1-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Williams said. "We did a good job of that today."
