Taylor Tosses 2-0 Shutout Against Houston
All went well for Carl Taylor of the Chicago Hawks as he pitched his team to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Houston Drillers, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Taylor on the day.

"Carl's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Hawks manager Mike Flaherty. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Chicago left-hander rang up 5 and surrendered 2 walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Drillers manager Steven Palps. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
