The Toronto Hurons topped the Montreal Habitants, 10-3, at Dominion Field. Toronto first baseman Max Lasseter was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times. Toronto reliever Mike Beers was the winner. His record is now 7-13. The losing pitcher was Lawrence Connor. Toronto is now 75-86, while Montreal is 78-83.

Jorge Luna had a big run-scoring double for the Hurons in the bottom of the first inning. With Toronto leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Lawrence Connor and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 29th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hurons ahead, 2-0.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Luna told the Toronto Daily.
