Washington Dealt 4-3 Defeat
|
St. Louis Explorers starter Harlan Estes found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Washington Eagles. Washington's current losing streak is now 4 games.
With St. Louis leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Estes hit a run-scoring single off Washington hurler Dave Alexander. It was the 16th hit of the season for Estes and put his team ahead, 4-0.
"Harlan was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood.
