Hawks Bats Go Cold Against Northmen
|
Twin Cities pitcher Gerald Gross did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago Hawks, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Twin Cities is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 17 games.
Gross, who dominated for Twin Cities, earned the victory to move to 2-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 4. Chicago batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Gross told the Twin Cities Chronicle.
