Larry Black brought his A-game to help Detroit defeat the Boston Terriers, 2-0. The Wolverines raised their record to 14-3.
Detroit starter Larry Black was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8.2 innings.
"All in all, I thought Larry pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Detroit manager Alex Wobbema.
