The Detroit Wolverines picked up a win at Atlantic Station Field, knocking off the Atlanta Generals, 4-1. Starting pitcher Larry Black was a big reason why. Alfredo Morales picked up the save for Detroit, his 1st of the year. Atlanta is now 0-2.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Pete Morrison? The Detroit left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Wolverines on top, 2-0. For the game, Morrison had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
