Habitants Thwart Hurons, 5-3

Montreal and Toronto duked it out and the Habitants came out victorious.
The Montreal Habitants finished off the Toronto Hurons, 5-3. Much of the credit belonged to third baseman Ed Hudson. Hudson was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Habitants. The Hurons drop to 9-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 1975 season.
Tim Delaney had a big 2-run home run for the Habitants in the bottom of the first inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from former first round draft pick Alfonso Sosa and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Habitants on top, 3-0.
"It never gets old," said Delaney. "Winning, that is."
