Bill Lemley was terrific for the Seattle Emeralds in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Los Angeles Pobladores. His performance earned Lemley rave reviews. In 5 innings, Lemley surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The loss makes the Pobladores 7-12.

The Emeralds got a big at-bat from catcher Dave Thomas. For the game, Thomas went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Lemley.
