Boston turned a good effort from starting pitcher Ken Torkelson into a win over the Baltimore Lords at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The final score was 2-1 in 11 innings. Boston is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 7th in 19 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Paul Knight in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Don Achber to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"It was bedlam at the end," Knight said.
