Series Lead Cut to 1 for Pittsburgh After 7-3 Loss
The Chicago Traders have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pittsburgh Industrials, winning, 7-3, at Union Field. Traders center fielder Ken Mays went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Traders to 3-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

In the bottom of the second, Chicago second baseman Rafael Fuentes had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Fuentes stroked a 2-run single to left-center. It made the score 5-2, Chicago. For the game, he was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.

Fuentes called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Union Field in Chicago.
