Almost There: Houston On Cusp of DR Triumph After 7-6 Win
The Houston Drillers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting San Francisco Seagulls at Sam Houston Field by a score of 7-6. Drillers first baseman Charlie Fee did some major damage. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win gives the Drillers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Houston took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Mike Lockhart hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Drillers fans to their feet.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Tom Harrington.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sam Houston Field in Houston.
