Series Lead Cut to 1 for St. Louis After 8-6 Loss
Already down in the League Championship Series, the Kansas City Bulls put on their best show, beating the St. Louis Explorers by a final score of 8-6. Charlie Bartels was special. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Kansas City now trails St. Louis 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

In the top of the third, Bob Rawlins delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Kansas City third baseman hit a bases-clearing triple, putting the Bulls in front, 8-6.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Rawlins told the Kansas City News. "Whatever it takes."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Corps of Discovery Stadium in St. Louis.
