Behind a bravura effort from starter Myron Baird, the Cleveland Bobcats topped the Dallas Wranglers by the score of 4-3 and got their first win in the 1975 World Series. Baird threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the Bobcats. The win moves Cleveland into a 1-1 tie with Dallas.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Phil Chirico? The Cleveland left fielder had a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bobcats on top, 4-1. For the game, Chirico had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Baird said (again).

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Lakefront Stadium in Cleveland.
