Bilski Neutralizes Northmen
|
The Houston Drillers tallied a win at Sam Houston Field, throttling the Twin Cities Northmen, 5-1. Starting pitcher Larry Bilski was a big reason for his team's success. The Northmen drop to 9-11 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1976 season.
Bilski was charged with 1 run on 5 hits over 8.1 innings for the Drillers. With the win, the 5-foot-9 , 175-pound right-hander goes to 3-0.
"When I go out there," said Bilski, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."
