Houston Defeated by Twin Cities, 6-3
|
Twin Cities pitcher Ben Hall had a large part in his team beating the Houston Drillers, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Hall, now 2-2. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 2. The loss drops Houston to 11-9.
The Northmen got a big at-bat from second baseman Steve Pavey. For the game, Pavey was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Twin Cities a 6-3 lead.
"Ben pitched like a champ," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
