Milwaukee Absorbs 2-1 Loss to San Diego
|
The San Diego Captains faced a tough opponent in Milwaukee pitcher Dan Valenti, but did just enough to pull out the victory at San Diego Sporting Complex by a final score of 2-1. Valenti went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Dave Fields wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. Milwaukee is 7-14 after the loss.
Waymond Henry drove in one run for San Diego. The 28-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dan Valenti. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
