The Chicago Hawks stopped the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-3, at Hyde Park Stadium. The Hawks got a big game from Mark Morris, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Chicago is now 12-9.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Morris hit a changeup from Mike Silver for a solo home run. The Hawks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

After the game, Chicago manager Mike Flaherty applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
