Los Angeles Defeated By Drillers, 5-2

The Houston Drillers got a stellar effort from pitcher Larry Bilski, helping Houston score a win over the visiting Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-2. Tom McAteer wrapped it up, recording his 4th save. The defeat makes the Pobladores 8-14.
Jackie Frost went 2-4 with a double for Houston. The four-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring single off Dan Turner. It was his 21st hit of the season.
"I thought we competed really well," said Drillers manager Jared Placeholder. "I thought the energy was really good."
