Emeralds Prevail, 3-1, Over Atlanta
|
Seattle turned a good performance from starting pitcher Mike Harris into a 3-1 triumph over the Atlanta Generals at Puget Field. Phil Moore finished the game for Seattle and earned his 2nd save. Seattle, now 13-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Center Fielder Roberto Salazar made an impact for Seattle, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Gary Ovitt in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Salazar went 2 for 3 with a triple.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Harris.
