The Baltimore Lords rode a solid performance from 35-year-old starting pitcher John Fredrick to a win, beating the Atlanta Generals, 6-2, at Seton Hill Stadium. Fredrick picked up the win for Baltimore, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The victory makes Baltimore 12-9, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 1977.
John Balliet helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Lords.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
