Dairymen Win, 5-1, Versus San Diego
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen converted a terrific effort from starter Keith Williams into a win over the San Diego Captains at San Diego Sporting Complex. The Dairymen won the game by a final score of 5-1. Milwaukee is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 8th win in 22 games.
Champ Arkle drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Milwaukee. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Arkle had a clutch at-bat. Facing San Diego hurler Ed Prater, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Dairymen a 2-1 lead.
