Kansas City Defeated by Milwaukee, 2-0
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Kansas City Bulls home opener. Mel Hartman started for the home team against Jeff Munoz for the Milwaukee Dairymen. The Bulls were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 2-0, Milwaukee. Jeff Munoz, though, was impressive. Munoz got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. Munoz allowed no runs. Mike Brown nailed down his 1st save.
Jim Robins, the 26-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Robins contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Milwaukee up, 1-0.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Robins.
