He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. Ron Winder recorded the save for Atlanta, his 6th of the season.

Roberto Palacios, who is tied for 6th in the ABL in bases on balls with 14, had a direct impact on the outcome. Palacios contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Atlanta up, 2-0.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Banas.

Seattle, with the loss, is 13-9.
