Quakers Stay Hot, Beat Industrials, 3-1
|
Philadelphia Quakers pitcher Manny Salinas was in fine form, leading his team past the Pittsburgh Industrials, 3-1. The win gives Philadelphia a record of 12-10.
Philadelphia used the bat of Tony Martinez to get the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Quakers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Philadelphia manager Jeff Green.
