With center fielder Jorge Luna leading the charge, the Toronto Hurons defeated the Dallas Wranglers, 6-4, at Bluff Park. Luna, who led the ABL in extra base hits with 69 in 1972, was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Tommy Lloyd got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Picking up the save was Dave Hamilton, his 2nd.

Bob Bass hit a 2-run triple off Vern Gould in the top of the sixth, which put the Hurons in front, 4-3. In addition to the triple, Bass had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Hurons manager Jim Burns.

The Hurons raised their record to 13-12.
