Traders Down Bluebirds, 7-5
Dave Deschamps left his imprint on the 7-5 Chicago win against the Brooklyn Bluebirds. Deschamps, who is tied for 10th in the NBL with a .371 on-base percentage, went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Marvin Walton in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Dave Teckenbrock took the loss for Brooklyn. Craig Dalton was credited with the save for Chicago, his 2nd of the season.

Deschamps had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 3-1 fastball from Dave Teckenbrock, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Traders a 7-5 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Deschamps.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Deschamps told the Chicago Observer.

The Traders have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 9th win in 26 games.
