Henderson Slugs Terriers to 7-6 Win
|
Boston right fielder Quinton Henderson picked up 6 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Chicago Hawks, 7-6. Chicago is 12-14 after the loss.
Boston used the timely hitting of Mike Cash to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Terriers on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.
