|
Dallas parlayed a decent outing from starter Dario Perez into a solid win over the Seattle Emeralds. The final score was 5-3. Picking up the save was Frank Dunn, his 7th. The loss lowers the Seattle record to 14-12.
Dick Howard, who finished 5th in the NBL in wins above replacement with 8.8 in 1972, helped out the Dallas cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a walk.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Perez. "I just want to win ballgames."
