Explorers Earn 4-3 Win Versus Burros
St. Louis right fielder Gary Parker played a vital role in his team's 4-3 conquest of Denver. He was 4-4 with 4 singles for St. Louis. St. Louis reliever Randy Birch picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joe Hamby took the loss. The win puts St. Louis at 16-11.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Parker hit a fastball from Joe Hamby for a run-scoring single. The Explorers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It was a good effort all around," said Parker.
