Terriers Squelch Northmen Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Boston Terriers defeated the Twin Cities Northmen, 5-0, at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Boston right fielder Jeff Milton had a superb performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. The loss drops the Twin Cities record to a disappointing 11-16.
With Boston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Milton hit a curveball from Gerald Gross for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Terriers ahead, 2-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Milton.
