Blockbusters Improve to 17-11 with 6-4 Win
Chuck Walton left his imprint on the 6-4 Los Angeles win against the Kansas City Bulls. Walton, who leads the NBL in hits with 38, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Los Angeles starter Wayne Guilmette was credited with the win after throwing 110 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The loss drops the Bulls to 12-16.

With Los Angeles leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Walton hit a sinker from Pedro Nunez for a 2-run double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Blockbusters ahead, 4-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Walton told the Los Angeles Times.
