Cardenas Slugs Eagles to 14-8 Win
The 14-8 Washington win over New York was due largely to Tony Cardenas. The Eagles right fielder belted 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times. New York falls to 16-13.

With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Cardenas hit a curveball from Chris Hull for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 6-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Cardenas.
