Emeralds Suffer One-Run Loss at Dallas
Dallas Wranglers starter Charlie Sokol pitched well against the Seattle Emeralds at Bluff Park, leading his team to a win, 5-4. Dallas goes to 18-10 with the win.

Dallas left fielder Pat Simmons contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Wranglers ahead, 5-1.

Simmons told the Dallas Herald: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
