The Cincinnati Packers beat the Denver Burros, 9-5, at Gates Crescent Park. Daniel Salas, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Packers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 10th win in 29 games.

With Cincinnati leading 4-2 in the top of the fifth, Salas hit a sinker from Frank Combs for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Packers ahead, 5-2.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Salas.
