The timely hitting of Mark Morris helped the Chicago Hawks down the Dallas Wranglers, 7-2. Morris was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Hawks. The winning pitcher was Ron Woods. He tossed 115 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. The loss makes Dallas 18-11.

Ray Gardner had a big run-scoring double for the Hawks in the top of the second inning.
