Knickerbockers Edge Traders, 1-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the New York Knickerbockers and the Chicago Traders, Ollie Hundley was the difference-maker. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Steve Eaton sewed up the save, his 5th. The Traders, 13-19, continue their sluggish start to the 1967 campaign.
Charlie Albright, the 28-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Albright contributed a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put New York up, 1-0.
Albright attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
