The Chicago Hawks got a superb performance from pitcher Kevin Edwards, but the Montreal Habitants still won the game, 5-4. Edwards threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives Montreal a record of 3-0.

Jim McCord delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Habitants. For the game, McCord drove in one run.

"We found a way to get it done," McCord said.
