|
Bruce Cardenas never let San Diego get something going. The Denver right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Burros to a 5-1 win. The loss drops San Diego to 18-12.
Cardenas, who was born in Brentwood, California, threw 103 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"Bruce was good -- real good," said Burros manager Clark Anderson.
