Razor-Sharp Diaz Blanks Toronto
|
Jorge Diaz shut out the Toronto Hurons 9-0 on a 4-hit masterpiece for the Baltimore Lords at Dominion Field today.
"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Baltimore skipper Jordan Wells said afterward.
Diaz registered 5 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in pitching a gem.
"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Toronto manager Jim Burns after the defeat.
So far this season Diaz has 1 win and no losses and a 0.00 ERA.
