Industrials Win at Home, 4-2

The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Allegheny Field, knocking off the Cleveland Bobcats, 4-2. On the mound for Pittsburgh was left-hander Bob Briggs. He played a key role in the triumph. In 6 innings, Briggs surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 6. He allowed 2 runs. The save went to Ray Williams, number 4 for him.
The Industrials got a big at-bat from left fielder Don Keough. For the game, Keough was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Pittsburgh a 2-0 lead.
In postgame remarks, Keough hailed his team's "grit."
